Administration

The District’s administrative and support functions are centralized and serve all 10 libraries. Most are located at the Administrative Offices. Each department is headed by a senior manager who is a member of the management team.

SCLD’s management team is charged with moving the District’s mission forward, brainstorming new ideas, implementing plans and directing successful day-to-day operations at each library and in each department.

Executive Director Nancy Ledeboer
The Executive Director is responsible for overall administration, planning, community relations, and Board of Trustees support.

Nancy Ledeboer became the Library Director of the Spokane County Library District in March 2012. Prior to accepting this position she was the Library Director for the Pima County Public Library in Tucson, Arizona for 7 years. She has worked in public libraries for most of her career spanning over 30 years. Nancy has worked in libraries in California, Nevada, Arizona and Washington. She believes in the power of the public library to engage minds, enrich lives and build strong communities.

Her vision for the Spokane community is for the library to be a place where people of all ages are engaged in learning throughout their lives. Volunteers and community partners are essential to making this vision a reality. Together we are creating and sustaining a culture of literacy and lifelong learning.

Library Services
For purposes of administration and management the District is divided into two regions, each led by a senior manager and comprised of five libraries. The branch managers are responsible for adult and youth programming, materials circulation, and daily library operations.

Region I Branch Services Manager Patrick Roewe
Region I includes the libraries of Airway Heights, Cheney, Deer Park, Medical Lake, and North Spokane.

Region II Branch Services Manager Doug Stumbough
Region II includes the libraries of Argonne, Fairfield, Moran Prairie, Otis Orchards, and Spokane Valley.

Collection Services Manager Andrea Sharps
Collection services is responsible for selection, ordering, processing, and distribution of all library materials.

Human Resources Manager Paul Eichenberg
Human resources is responsible for employee recruitment, hiring, benefits, training and development.

Business Office Manager Bill Sargent
The business office is responsible for finance, budgeting, accounting, payroll, purchasing, and facilities maintenance.

Communications Manager Jane Baker
Communications is responsible for production of all materials for public use, internal communications, media and community relations.

Information Technology Manager Priscilla Ice
Information technology is responsible for computer hardware and software, website operation, data communications network, and telephone system.
