Chair: Tim Hattenburg
Tim is a retired North Pines Junior High history teacher, athletic director and coach. He was recently appointed to his second five-year term and is serving as 2011 Board of Trustees Chair. A graduate of Central Valley High School, he earned his bachelor of arts in education at Washington State University. He also completed his post-graduate work at Eastern and Gonzaga universities as well as Whitworth College. Tim currently works for Tornado Creek publications as a writer/researcher. An upcoming publication on the 100-year history of the Spokane Realtors Association is scheduled for completion in August of 2011. He loves to read, travel, cook and fish. Tim and his wife Becky have three children and three grandchildren. Vice Chair: Daniel J. Davis
A Glenrose-area resident, Daniel J. Davis began his first Board of Trustees term in January 2010. A graduate of Eastern Washington University and Gonzaga University School of Law, Dan’s professional career is impressively diverse. After serving more than 25 years with the Washington State Patrol in such roles as trooper, detective and president of the Troopers Association, Dan attended and graduated from Gonzaga’s School of Law. Dan practiced in Seattle, and then spent several years practicing law for both Spokane County and the City of Spokane. An active volunteer in a variety of community issues, Dan is married to wife Sarah, a Special Education teacher. They have two children and two grandchildren. Trustee: Mary E. Lloyd
Mary came to the Board in 2007 to fill an unexpired term and was reappointed in 2009 to a full five-year term. Hailing from the Spokane Valley, Mary has worked for the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) since 1984 as a transportation engineer. Prior to the WSDOT, Mary worked four years for private companies surveying logging roads in Washington State. While in the Puget Sound area she earned her Associate of Applied Science Degree and was with the City of Seattle Engineering Department until her WSDOT employment. Married for more than 27 years, Mary has four children and two grandchildren who keep her busy with family life. She is an active member of the community and enjoys reading, organic gardening, learning about northwest geology and cooking with her husband. Trustee: Mark Johnson
Medical Lake resident Mark Johnson was appointed to the Board of Trustees in January 2012. The general manager of a local highway construction firm, Johnson is a graduate of the University of Washington with a bachelor’s degree in construction management. The Johnson family including his wife and two daughters are active library patrons, and Johnson believes the library is an important resource to protect and nurture. In addition to being on the Spokane County Library District board, Johnson is a member of a highway advisory committee, and enjoys white water rafting. Trustee: Sean Morrow
Sean Morrow was appointed to the Board of Trustees in January 2013. Morrow is a Health benefits Coordinator at CenturyLInk, and is currently pursuing his Masters in Public Administration. Morrow has experience as a liaison between unions and administrators, bargaining agreements, and a strong understanding of benefits for both employees and organizations. His previous experience includes Network Technician for Qwest and Crew Chief in the US Air Force. Morrow and his wife have two young sons and enjoy time at the library, as well as skiing, boating, and traveling. |
