Introducing HelpNow and JobNow

Posted on January 8, 2014 at 12:28 pm

We are excited to announce a new online tutoring service accessible with your library card for library members of all ages. Tutors are available 2-10pm every day, but you can email tutors any time for a next day response. Submit documents such as resumes and research papers for tutors to review and provide feedback.

HelpNow includes skills building exercises in Science, Math, English, Social Studies, and more, a language lab, a writing center, and a test center that includes practice tests. In addition, access FlashBulb™ to view and create flash cards and learning games as study aids. Collaboration tools can assist you with meeting study partners online and record your sessions to view later.

The Adult Learners section will help you prepare for the GED and citizenship tests, get help with Microsoft Office, and more. Tutors will help all levels of learners in Math, English, and Writing.

JobNow will connect you with a job coach that will review your resume and cover letter, help you search for jobs, provide interview tips, and more.

Tutor.com tutoring sessions will no longer be available beginning Dec 20. You may still access the SkillsCenter™ until Jan 15. If you have documents in your Tutor.com Locker, don’t forget to save them to a disk before Jan 15.
