Job Seeker Workshop Series
This three-part series is designed to provide job seekers with key insights into the hiring process from the perspective of the hiring manager. All workshops will be held at the Spokane Valley Library
PART 1: Skill Awareness & Self-Assessment
Wednesday, May 22, 1-4:30pm
Gain understanding of the nature of the employment transaction and what motivates the hiring manager in the process. Learn to identify what skills and abilities managers are looking for, and how to present them.
PART 2: Effective Resumes, Cover Letters & Skill Deficiencies
Thursday, May 23, 1–4:30pm
Builds on the foundation from the first workshop and provides numerous insights to help maximize the likelihood of successfully landing an interview.
PART 3: Interviewing, Preparation & Follow-up
Friday, May 24, 1-4:30pm
Discuss the tools and techniques for successfully presenting yourself to a hiring manager.
Class size is limited to sixteen. Call or stop by your nearby county library to preregister. Participants should plan to attend all three workshops.
