Free Homework Help at Spokane County Library District
-- Live Homework Help® Joins Cache of Library’s Online Services --
(Spokane – February 2009) – Children, teenagers and adult learners stumped with a tough homework question or assignment, help is here. Spokane County Library District’s (SCLD) newest online service, Tutor.com™’s Live Homework Help®, launches today.
Students in grades K-12th, those in introductory-level college courses, and adult learners can simply visit www.scld.org to get on-demand, seven days a week, FREE help from qualified tutors. SCLD’s Live Homework Help, an online tutoring service from Tutor.com, connects students to professional tutors in math, science, social studies and English via the Internet. Tutors are also available and ready to help with resume-building and proofing for job seekers of any age.
This free service allows students and adult learners to connect to an expert tutor either from SCLD’s or their own home PC or Mac (SCLD library card required for remote access), seven days a week, 2pm – 10pm, and receive homework help from a live tutor.
And Live Homework Help is easy to use. Students simply go to www.scld.org, click on Live Homework Help under Ask the Library (left menu bar), then enter their grade level and subject requiring help. Students are momentarily connected to a tutor in an online classroom for one-to-one help via IM (instant messenger) in math (elementary, algebra, geometry, trigonometry and calculus), science (elementary, earth science, biology, chemistry, physics), social studies (American and world history, political science), and English (spelling, grammar, essay writing, book reports).
