Board of Trustees Applications
Spokane County Commissioners are now accepting applications for a Spokane County Library District Board of Trustees position, which will be available as of January 1, 2013. Applications will be accepted until Thursday, November 8, 2012.
Ann Apperson has served two five-year terms on Spokane County Library District’s Board of Trustees, which is the maximum allowed by law, and will retire at the end of 2012.
Spokane County Library District operates separately from the County and has its own tax base, but state law mandates that the County Commissioners appoint all members of the Board of Trustees, which acts as the governing board for the District. The District would prefer a resident from the northern part of the county to fill the position to maintain a balanced geographic representation.
