Spokane County
Library District resources are at your fingertips.
You can access the library's complete catalog,
selected databases, reference resources, and library
information from anywhere-just log on to the Web
and go to www.scld.org. Our website is
available 24 hours a day.
In addition, our ten branches offer access to the World Wide Web and many additional electronic databases.
SCLD Catalog
You can instantly locate any one of more than
450,000 items in the library collection through
our website and in our branches. Using your library
card number and PIN you can check on your account,
place requests, and renew materials. A PIN may
be obtained at any branch.
Databases
You can access our many online databases from
any branch, and most are also available through
our website using your library card number to
verify that you're an eligible Spokane County
Library District customer. Online databases include
magazine and newspaper articles; science, business,
auto repair, and biographical, genealogy, and
homework-related information; and encyclopedias.
Internet Access
You can search the Internet's World Wide Web from computers located in all branches. In compliance with the federal Children’s Internet Protection Act, access for everyone under 17 years old is filtered to block sexually-explicit Web sites. Customers age 17 and older have the option of disabling the filtering software for their use. You should be aware that this software isn't foolproof. It may miss blocking some intended sites and it may accidentally block other sites.
