Looking for practical ways to turn everyday activities like talking, reading, singing, writing, and playing into super-charged learning moments with the infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in your care? Spokane County Library District offers monthly free STARS classes for childcare providers and teachers to earn continuing education credit through the Washington State Department of Early Learning.

Our classes cover topics such as Early Literacy, Math, Science, Music, Storytelling, and more. Each class offers a combination of lecture and hands on activities that teachers and childcare providers can take back and use right away in their classrooms or centers. While we gear the classes towards teachers and providers, parents are more than welcome to attend a class. Registration opens up 30 days before the class is held. Classes are usually 1 to 3 hours long and we limit the class size to 50 participants.

Registration begins 30 days before the event. Click here to register or call your local library. View the full schedule on the STARS Training web page or check the events calendar.
