Spokane County Library District’s
2004-2006 Strategic Plan was developed
with the assumptions that excellence
must be defined locally, excellence
rests more on commitment than on
unlimited resources, and excellence
is a moving target and must be continually
maintained. Its foundation is a community
vision and community needs identified
from interviews conducted with 60
community leaders and representatives.
A member of the larger community, its
imperative that Spokane County Library
District work with other agencies, organizations,
and individuals to help meet these needs
and achieve the vision. Our mission and
goals are therefore directed to that
end.
