Posted on June 7, 2017 at 6:00 am

Build a Better World this summer at the library. Our lineup for summer is sure to bring smiles to kids of all ages. How could it not with magic shows, wild creatures, science experiments, musical performances, and puppets! All library events and programs are free and open to the public.

Explore the many ways you can Build a Better World!

Secrets of Wizards Magic Show: June 19–23

Magician Jeff Evans delights and amazes with a magic show that explores the world of Harry Potter and the magic that happens when we read.

Animals & Their Habitats: June 26–30

Animals in the wild build homes very different from the ones we live in. You’ll get to see animals and explore their habitats with the West Valley Outdoor Learning Center.

Hands-on Building: July 3–7

Let your imagination soar while you build and create with KEVA planks, straws and connectors, architecture blocks, and more. We can’t wait to see your creations. (Please note, there are no events on July 4.)

Exploring Chemistry with Mobius Science: July 10–14

Potions fizz and beakers bubble when we explore chemistry with Mobius Science, demonstrating the essence of chemical building blocks.

Eric Herman’s Cool Tunes: July 17–21

Eric Herman’s outrageously amusing songs are bursting with comedy, creativity, and audience participation to build joy and mirth.

Re-Build-It Town: July 24–28

KCPuppetree and her unique handmade puppets sing, dance, and share their adventures in this inspiring tale of resilience and community.

Each week these summer programs travel to a library in your community. You can find days and times for these events and more in our program guide Engage, available in print at all of our libraries and online.
