About Small Business Saturday

Small Business Saturday is celebrated annually on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Shop Small is a movement encouraging people to shop at small businesses, spending where they live to support a stronger and more vibrant community.

In 2022, our Small Business Saturday event has been expanded so customers can shop all week long. They can support local small businesses and the Shop Small movement starting on Small Business Saturday, November 26, and continuing through Saturday, December 3.

Local, small businesses that wish to participate in the Library District’s Small Business Saturday events can apply by filling out and submitting the form below.

The deadline for submission is Friday, September 30, 2022.

Neighborhood Champion

Spokane County Library District is a 2022 Neighborhood Champion, holding Small Business Saturday events at libraries in four communities:

• Cheney
• Deer Park
• Medical Lake
• Millwood (Argonne)

Shoppers can complete an activity when visiting participating businesses and then turn it in at their neighborhood library to be entered in to the prize drawing (one per library) for a gift certificate at the participating local business of the winner’s choice.
