If you are looking for fun and educational activities this winter and spring, you’re in luck. Fantastic destinations exist nearby—the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture and Mobius Children’s Museum and Mobius Science Center—and starting in January, Spokane County Library District has family museum passes available for checkout so you can visit them!
Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture, also fondly known as the MAC, is featuring “Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition” through May 20, 2018. The exhibit is educational, emotional, and appropriate for all age levels and shares stories of heroism and humanity that honor to the indomitable force of the human spirit in the face of tragedy, along with authentic artifacts recovered from the wreck site and extensive room re-creations. Learn more about the museum and upcoming exhibits at www.northwestmuseum.org.

Both Mobius Science Center and Children’s Museum spark curiosity and ignite imagination, featuring hands-on activities for the whole family, including Bubbleology at the Children’s Museum and the Science Center’s “Tinker – Create – Invent –Hack” event: Cardboard Construction. The family museum pass will get you into either location, or both, on the same day. Learn more at mobiusspokane.org.

Each of our 11 libraries has one pass available for check out on a first-come, first-served basis. This means that holds cannot be placed on these items. Each pass has a 7-day checkout and can be used once during that period for a single-day admission to the partner museum for a family of 2 adults and up to 4 children.
The Family Museum Pass is a great opportunity to visit these excellent cultural and educational centers in our community. In our catalog, you can find which library locations have a Mobius or MAC pass available.
The family museum pass lending program has been generously funded by the Friends of Spokane County Library District.
