GED & High School Completion Classes

For Teens & Adults

Spokane Community College Adult Education faculty work to create a supportive and inclusive environment in which student learning is the focus. Students receive instruction in math, science, social studies, writing, and more. Classes are tailored to the individual, allowing students to complete studies at their own pace.

ESL Classes

English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are for non-native English speaking immigrants, refugees, and citizens to learn how to read, write, speak, and understand English better. Digital and computer literacy is also a focus in ESL classrooms.

ESL classes are designed for beginning, intermediate, and advanced English language learners. These advanced-level classes prepare students to enter a GED or High School Completion course, college level classes, or professional technical programs.

ESL classes are taught by faculty from Spokane Community College’s Adult Basic Education Department. For more information and to enroll at any time, please call 509.533.4600.

Get Your Certification: Microsoft Office Specialist & Microsoft Technology Associate

Consider becoming certified as an expert in one or more Microsoft Office programs and technologies to get the skills that employers are seeking. We have books, digital resources, and study guides to help you prepare for Microsoft certification testing.

Test Proctoring

Our libraries offer certification exam testing for Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) and Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) in Office, free of charge as a Certiport Authorized Test Center.

We also provide regular test proctoring services to students in our community.

To schedule certification exam testing or other test proctoring and to verify we can meet the proctoring requirements for your institution, please contact your local library.
