Trying to figure out the difference between the 1040A and 1040EZ? Should you use the Schedule A or the Schedule B? Do you have multiple W-2s or 1099s?

If tax season is stressing you out, you’ll be happy to know that free AARP Tax-Aide help is available. From January 30 through April 17, you can get help at five of our libraries: Argonne, Cheney, Deer Park, Moran Prairie, and Spokane Valley.

At Argonne and Cheney Libraries, appointments are needed and can be made through Washington Trust Bank by calling 509.353.4851. At Deer Park, Moran Prairie, and Spokane Valley Libraries, help is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

You’ll need to bring a few things, including your 2016 tax-related documents, valid photo ID, and social security cards for yourself and all household members. It is also recommended that you bring your 2015 tax return. If you know which tax forms you’ll need, you can download and print them from
