Nonprofit organizations can explore the power of Foundation Directory Online in a workshop focusing on how to find grant makers that want to fund your organization’s mission. Foundation Directory Online is now available to use at all our libraries, making it convenient to do research.
Small businesses can explore how to leverage social media in helpful and strategic ways.
May is blooming with gardening programs. Learn about gardening in containers, propagating your plants from cuttings and seeds, pruning, conquering weeds, and appreciating the art of bonsai.
Our financial education programs include the return of the Homebuyer Education Seminar, a workshop about our digital resource JobNow, an introductory class about Medicare, Shred Day, and one-on-one help applying for the Working Families Tax Credit.
Explore new and old hobbies and interests during Audio-Visual Club, Whole Wheat Pie Crust with Kate Lebo, Blacksmithing, Rock Garden Painting, and two genealogy classes.
For those experiencing memory loss, dementia, and/or Alzheimer’s and their caregivers, we have our Tuesday Memory Café program each week full of activities and socialization.
Parents, grandparents, and caregivers of young children can find useful tips and strategies for encouraging a love of reading in the kids in their care. Sign up for our STARS class Nature Play & Early Learning and the program Build Your Child’s Reading Skills: Tips & Tricks. Plus, each month you can view Picture Book Chat to learn about wonderful picture books recently added to our collection.
Our Online SCLD Authors Series brings you author talks with Britt Hawthorne, author of Raising Antiracist Children, Jena Friedman, author of Not Funny, and Courtney Summers, author of Sadie.
We invite you to explore these great library programs for adults in May!
