We’re hosting four local artists in residence at The Lab at North Spokane Library this fall. Each month, the artist in residence provides hands-on learning opportunities for community participation and also creates art in The Lab.
Everyone is encouraged to stop by to see the displays of artist’s artwork changing each month and meet each artist. You can have a conversation about the artist’s process, the artwork currently under creation, and art in general while the artist works.
Karen Mobley is free range but not a chicken. She earned the Dabbler badge in Girl Scouts and has been working at it ever since. She is a visual artist, poet, and arts consultant. She was artist in residence at AIR Studio Paducah (2016), Jentel Foundation (2016), and Brush Creek Foundation (2015). She has participated in Spokane’s Window Dressing installation program and in numerous group exhibits. She served as Arts Director for the City of Spokane from 1997–2012, and currently serves as an adjunct faculty member at Whitworth University.
Meet & Peek: An Artist’s Open House
