Your favorite summer performers and presenters are back with online events for kids and families. Plus you can experience online Camp Read-a-Rama and explore stories, crafts, songs, and more.

ONLINE CAMP

Online Camp Read-a-Rama

Our online camp has themes based on books that spark the imagination and related camp activities, including crafts, music, games, and more! Make reading part of your summer and set yourself up for success in the coming school year.

For kids entering grades 2–5

Registration is required. All participants must provide an email address in order to receive login information and instructions for picking up supplies.

Note: Each AM and PM session for every week of camp covers the same material. Please only register for either an AM or PM session and only one week of camp.

Daily Camp Themes

Mondays: Fair folk and beasts – Dragons, unicorns, fairies, and gnomes. Read about these creatures and watch them come to life.

Tuesdays: Tales from around the world – Discover multicultural fairy and folk tales and learn about cultures from around the world.

Wednesdays: The STEM of the tale – Engineer a house that the big bad wolf can’t blow down, and keep Humpty Dumpty from cracking. We will be using science, technology, engineering, and math to look at stories in a new way.

Thursdays: Mythology and folklore – Read about Gods and Goddesses and tales from long ago. This is storytelling at its best!

Eric Herman & the Puppy Dogs: A Virtual Concert

Eric Herman and the Puppy Dogs perform outrageously fun music that bursts with comedy, creativity, and audience participation. This summer, experience new songs, costumes, and antics—all with the same level of awesomeness, right in your home!

MYTHICAL CREATURES & UFOS

Mythical Mysteries: Creatures That Never Lived (Online)

Mythical animals may never have been real, but they live in our histories and stories and make for a fascinating virtual exploration. After all, who doesn’t love a good unicorn story? Who can resist mermaids and centaur? Explore six of the most famous mythical creatures with author Kelly Milner Halls. Registration is required.

Aliens & UFOs: What Is Really Possible? (Online)

While writing the book Alien Investigation, author Kelly Milner Halls collected a wealth of evidence for and against the existence of otherworldly visitors to Earth. This presentation explores that evidence in a thoughtful, non-frightening way. Registration is required.

Magic Tricks & Secrets Live (Online)

Learn secrets of magic that will amaze and astound your friends! Hosted by professional magician Jeff Evans, this program uses items that you already have around the home. SCIENCE IN THE EXTREME

Extreme Science with Radical Rick (Online)

Radical Rick show us how the air around us has pressure and takes up space. You can follow along with these science demonstrations, as Radical Rick shows you how to make a Cartesian diver and a table top hovercraft. Let’s have some fun with marshmallows, eggs, and air!
