KSPS Every Child Reads Storytimes

KSPS PBS is offering a collection of pre-kindergarten through grade 4 read-aloud stories from local educators, librarians, and community members. You can watch and listen to these great stories with your little ones and try some of the fun reading activities.

Here are two stories that you can experience now.

Book cover of One Small Place by the Sea
Dr. Shelly Redinger reads aloud One Small Place by the Sea by Barbara Brenner with illustrations by Tom Leonard. Watch on YouTube.
Book Cover of A Cache of Jewels
Dr. Shelly Redinger reads aloud A Cache of Jewels and Other Collection Nouns, by Ruth Heller. Watch on YouTube.

Check back often as the read-aloud video series grows. You may see some of your favorite librarians from our libraries reading great stories!

Virtual Storytime with KSPS PBS

You can join KSPS PBS for a live virtual storytime on the 1st and last Friday of every month from 10–10:30am. These storytimes are for children ages 3–5 and their caregivers.

During the virtual storytime, you will explore stories and sing songs together, all at a safe social distance. There will also be craft ideas and reading activities provided.

KSPS will be using the online video service Zoom for this program.

UPDATE to join storytime: Families should go directly to KSPS’s Zoom website at netaonline.zoom.us/join and then enter the one-time meeting ID: 650 627 295.

Be sure to check their website for updates about this series!
