As part of Millwood’s 90th Anniversary, the Millwood History Enthusiasts and Argonne Library bring you a month-long display of photos and items from the town’s rich past.
Throughout the month of March, you’re invited to programs with the Enthusiasts and former Millwood Fire Chief, Jim Anderson, to explore the history of Millwood. Get a peek inside the mid-century homes built following WWII and learning about local shops and business during that era. Hear about the impact of the 1957 paper mill fire and the evolution of the Millwood Fire Department from volunteer-run to employee staffed. Each week the Enthusiasts share different local stories and invite you to share your memories, keeping Millwood history alive.
