October Is for You: Creative Arts, Author Talks, Shred Day, Memory Care & More

Posted on September 21, 2022 at 6:00 am

This fall you can explore creative arts and leisure activities at the library, including blacksmithing, lace tatting, cyanotypes, and photography.

October brings you some wonderful author talks—including Spokane Is Reading author Kate Lebo—and information sessions about dyslexia and caring for loved ones who are experiencing memory loss.

Shred Day is back along with other financial workshops to help you stay on top of estate planning, retirement, and Medicare.

Learn all about Seed Saving so you can plant again next season. If you enjoy eating jerky, you can learn to make your own during Jerky Making Basics.

If you speak and read Spanish or are learning to, then you’ll want to check out our Spanish-language programs, which include business workshops and a book club.

The Lab at North Spokane is hosting creative and STEM programs, including Maker Open Hours in The Lab. Explore our audio-visual equipment and editing software at The Studio at Spokane Valley during Drop-in Hours at The Studio and stop in for 3D Printing Drop-in Hours near the first-floor service desk at Spokane Valley.
