Families in need can come to the Christmas Bureau to pick out a toy and a book as Christmas gifts for each child in their family. In addition, each household receives a grocery store voucher to stock the cupboards for the holidays. The Christmas Bureau is an opportunity for people in Eastern Washington to take care of their neighbors and is supported by The Spokesman-Review Christmas Fund, Volunteers of America, and Catholic Charities Eastern Washington. Each year this vast undertaking brings hope and holiday cheer to make Christmas a bit brighter for those in need. Spokane County Library District will participate along with other local organizations.
