This week on Page Turner Animal Adventures we are having fun with Pet Pals.
Jump into our Summer 2021: Reading Colors Your World challenge on Beanstack to view new adventures each weekday! You’ll find them all in the Activity Badges section.
We hope you have a pet-tacular time with Page Turner, Kenny, and their friends and special guests!
We kick things off with a live-action and animated show about a wacky librarian, a magical book, and lots of animals!
Based on the book Such a Library! by Jill Ross Nadler (also known as Page Turner).
With an old file folder and a pair of scissors, kids can create their own magical pop-up books to celebrate the pets and animals they love!
We have two special guests today, author Donna Gephart and illustrator Francesca Chessa!
They talk about their picture book Go Be Wonderful!, which features a spunky girl named Daisy and her pet dog, Mr. Bonkers. We also get a sneak peek at Donna’s new novel for older readers, Abby, Tried and True.
You can visit their websites here:
What is part art project and part recipe? This deliciously crafted treat!
All you need is a slice of bread and any edible fixings you can find to add some tasty pizzazz.
Yes, pet detectives are really a thing!
Jamie Katz (Katz is her real name!) is one of the best pet detectives Kenny and Page Turner know. They found out first-hand when Jamie helped them find their lost cat, Philo.
Jamie will introduce us to her sniffer dogs, Gable and Fletcher, and show you how she trains them to help find lost pets.
