This summer, reading offers you a chance to win a prize!

The benefits of reading—for everyone, at all ages—also include such things as sleeping better, reducing stress, increasing general knowledge, helping concentration, improving empathy, and improving literacy. Plus, reading is great for free entertainment.

Our summer reading challenge for 2022 includes reading books from our shelves and eBooks as well as listening to audiobooks. So, you could listen your way to winning a summer reading prize.

Get Started with Easy Sign Up

To get started, register for Read Beyond the Beaten Path, our summer 2022 reading challenge on Beanstack. With Beanstack, you can track your reading, earn badges, and log summer activities directly on the website or by using the free Beanstack app.

The ultimate goal for summer reading is 600 minutes per person, which you can easily achieve by reading 20 minutes a day. For every minute you read, you can help the library reach our county-wide goal of 200,000 minutes of summer reading!

Plus, you earn virtual badges for each hour of reading and for completing challenges, such as sharing a book review, attending library programs, and exploring your community. Every badge you earn increases your chance of winning one of our prize drawings.

Read June 1 through August 31. The drawing for prizes takes place on September 1.
