Over a Century of Sherlock Holmes in TV & Film

Film and television studios have been recreating the adventures of the great detective for over 100 years. What keeps us coming back to these stories again and again? Kris Hambrick discusses the history of Sherlock Holmes adaptations in pop culture and how they reflect the major themes that are important to us. Share your favorite incarnations of Holmes and Watson, and find a few new ones to explore! Adults

Medicare Open Enrollment Clinic

Determining the best Medicare plan for your situation can be complicated. The upside of reviewing your plan options is that you can save money. 

Changes to your Medicare Advantage or Medicare Part D plan for 2022 must be made during Open Enrollment from October 15 to December 7, 2021. Trained volunteers from Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA) will assist you with personalized help that takes your needs into consideration. Assistance is free and unbiased. To receive advice tailored to your needs, make sure you have your Medicare card and list of medications with dosages with you during your virtual appointment. Adults 

This free, unbiased information session is presented by Aging & Long Term Care of Eastern Washington (ALTCEW) and SHIBA, a free service of the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner.

Glowforge: Holiday Ornaments

Create a personalized ornament with our Glowforge laser printer. When you register for an appointment, you’ll receive a link to a video to view before your appointment time that shows you how to create your own ornament design on the computer. When you arrive for your appointment, library staff will provide the materials needed and guide you through the process of using the laser printer to cut out your personalized ornament. Adults
