Storytime is a place for parents and caregivers to interact and have fun playing with their children. You are your child’s first and most important teacher. To help you with this role, storytime introduces important literacy, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math), and social skills that children need for kindergarten and that you can continue to explore at home. Now is also a great time to get a library card for your child. It’s a gift they can enjoy for years to come.

We are surrounded by nature nearly everywhere we go, often without taking notice or knowing the names of the plants and animals around us. During this visit to Bear Lake Regional Park north of Spokane, we explore, learn to identify local flora and fauna with guidebooks and specialized apps, and share our findings with others using the iNaturalist app.
