Seeking a business and workforce development professional who is creative, values collaboration and teamwork, and most importantly, is committed to providing great public library services. Under supervision of a Library Services Manager, this position has a Support Job Seekers and Local Businesses focus, connecting job seekers, organizations and business professionals to library and community resources and services. Provides professional-level reference and readers’ advisory, instructs members in use of library resources and services, and identifies customer service and collection needs.
This position also has a community engagement focus at North Spokane.
The current work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
$3,931.20/month, plus benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and long-term disability insurance, Employee Assistance Program; 11 paid holidays; paid sick and vacation leave; and participation in the Public Employees Retirement System.
Masters of Library & Information Science or equivalent and the Professional Librarian’s Certificate issued by the Washington State Library (or its predecessor) as required by RCW 27.04.055. Three (3) years’ experience in business librarianship and/or educational background in business preferred. Read and use English and understand numbers; working knowledge of personal computers, office software, database software and the Internet; ILS experience preferred; OR any equivalent combination of education, training, or experience that assures satisfactory performance of essential job functions.
