Peter Pan Goes Wrong

A riotous spin on a timeless classic. Brace yourselves for an awfully big adventure when the inept and accident-prone Cornley Drama Society set out to present J.M. Barrie’s much-loved classic tale of Peter Pan, their most audacious production to date. What ensues is two acts of hysterical disaster, battling technical hitches, flying mishaps and cast disputes. But will they ever make it to Neverland?

You’ll laugh; they’ll cry. Something so wrong has never been so right. Containing the same potent blend of hilarity that features in their award-winning The Play That Goes Wrong, Mischief’s take on Peter Pan is unforgettable, even if the Cornley Drama Society wish they could forget what just happened.

Appropriate

Some inheritances are heavier than others. It’s summer, the cicadas are singing, and the Lafayette family has returned to their late patriarch’s Arkansas home to deal with the remains of his estate. Toni, the eldest daughter, hopes they’ll spend the weekend remembering and reconnecting over their beloved father. Bo, her brother, wants to recoup some of the funds he spent caring for Dad at the end of his life. But things take a turn when their estranged brother, Franz, appears late one night, and mysterious objects are discovered among the clutter. Suddenly, long-hidden secrets and buried resentments can’t be contained, and the family is forced to face the ghosts of their past.

Rated PG-13 (recommended for ages 13+) for mature themes, including strong language (profanity and racial slurs), depictions of trauma (grief, addiction, abuse, and mental health challenges), the legacy of racism in America, physical violence, and references to sexual situations and adult relationships.

The Minutes

The smallest towns keep the biggest secrets. A town’s proud history, the legend of a local hero, the coveted privilege of reserved parking: nothing is sacred during the town council meeting. This razor-sharp comedy turns from hilarious to chilling as petty policy matters give way to the truth roiling just beneath the surface of the town’s historical mythology.

Rated PG-13 (recommended for ages 13+) for strong language and mature themes, including depictions of violence, racism, and trauma.

Trouble in Mind

A cutting and humorous behind-the-curtain drama. Wiletta Mayer, an African American actress of a certain age, has spent her career playing stereotypes, trapped on a merry-go-round of mammies, maids, and other menials. The curtain rises on the first day of rehearsal for Chaos in Belleville, a Broadway-bound play that tackles the harsh truths of racism in America. But when those truths spill out of the play and into the rehearsal hall, will Wiletta’s insistence on her dignity cost her the work she desperately needs?

Rated PG-13 (recommended for ages 13+): Set in the 1950s, this play tackles themes of racism and sexism and includes the use of profanity and racially offensive terms.
