In partnership with Check Out Washington, this program is funded in part by the Washington State Parks Foundation.

By providing these passes, libraries hope to increase awareness and access to state lands, especially for those who might not otherwise be able to obtain a Discover Pass.

The specially designed Library Discover Pass for the Check Out Washington program does not require a specific license plate number to use the pass. This means that library customers can use any vehicle, including rentals, to park and access state parks and trailheads with this day-use Library Discover Pass.
