Sometimes my family needs something to brighten our day. Every once in a while the news channels sprinkle in a human interest story or a funny video into the more stark news that makes me feel better about the world.
Social media is more of the same, with every other post about lowering the curve, an infographic of the spread of COVID-19, and news from overwhelmed hospitals. Don’t get me wrong. I believe it is vitally important to be aware of what is going on in the world and what we can personally do to help.
I also think it’s important to take care of ourselves, and sometimes we need a break from the news. A positive story or a funny video can be a breath of fresh air in the middle of a hard time.
So if you are looking for a good laugh or something to warm your heart, here are some videos for you to enjoy.
This cute dog enjoys one of the simple things in life. This video had my girls laughing and asking to watch it again.
Happy babies are like instant joy. My daughter had tears in her eyes because she was laughing so hard.
In Kid Snippets videos, the kids have written the script and speak the lines, but adults act out the scenes. Back to School Bus Safety is one of my family’s favorites!
It always makes me happy cry when I get to watch somebody achieve a dream. Uplifting, inspiring, and a joy to listen to, these America’s Got Talent auditions are a family favorite.
Nature is amazing. Some of these clips found on Nature Is Lit Twitter Channel are awe-inspiring, some are adorable, and some will make you laugh.
My family found a hilarious video of babies eating ice cream and enjoyed it so much, we had to see if there were any others. Luckily, there are! Here are two.
Check out the Cincinnati Zoo’s Facebook page for the heartwarming story of adorable Fiona, the hippopotamus that was born 6 weeks early and is the smallest Hippo to ever survive. You can also check out their Home Safari videos to learn about other fascinating animals.
For even more wild animal fun, you can check out the Shedd Aquarium’s Twitter feed.
This YouTube channel has collections of bloopers from newscasts. There’s the occasional bleeped out word, but most are good clean fun.
I hope you enjoyed these videos as much as my family and I did. I’d love for you to share funny videos you’ve found in the comments!
