Accepting Applications for Spokane County Library District Board of Trustees

Spokane County Commissioners are now accepting applications for a Spokane County Library District Board of Trustees position. Applications are accepted until the position is filled.

Trustees are unpaid volunteers and serve five-year terms. Current Trustee and Chair John Craig’s second term expires on December 31, 2023.

Spokane County Library District operates separately from Spokane County and has its own tax base, but state law mandates that the County Commissioners appoint all members of the Board of Trustees, which acts as the governing board for the Library District. A requirement of the position is being a resident of the Library District’s service area.
