Summer is the perfect time to check out some outdoor entertainment. And take a break from the heat with activities in our libraries. We invite you to put our events on your summer to-do list for opportunities to relax and find enjoyment and adventure.

Along with events that celebrate America’s 250th anniversary and focus on historical activities, such as wood carving, you can check out these sessions, workshops, and entertaining activities in July.
Gather the family, plus some lawn chairs, blankets, and snacks to head to Movie Nights at Balfour Park for all ages, showing Zootopia 2 (PG) on Friday, July 17, and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (PG) on Friday, July 31. Explore what you can create with techniques such as flat wash, graduated wash, color blending, and go with the flow. If you’ve ever struggled with watercolors, the art instructor will help you troubleshoot. Let’s get creative!
